Posted - 13 April 2005 : 14:12:19 are any famous paintings featuring lifeguards? My partner is an avid enthuisiast and spends all his spare time being a lifeguard.. or rather, enjoying the status! I am looking for a painting to give him, although I realise it might be counter-productive! |

Posted - 13 April 2005 : 21:46:55 Sorry I quickly looked at that last site before posting the URL, on second glance it seems to be more a site just relating to hunky guys, not necessarily livesaving as indicated. Sorry. Regards,

Posted - 13 April 2005 : 21:42:54 I know you said earlier that getting a painting for your partner might be self-defeating/counter-productive. But with the popularity of the hunky lifesavers and the big parades and sports they indulge in (we have SO many beaches)in Australia you might end up finding yourself on a trip to the land down under *grin*. PS: I dated one a long time ago, spent hours outside the life savers compound. Do a search on Australia Lifesaving Carnival Surf, things like that. Here's one site for you. http://www.surflifesavingsydney.com.au/main/default.asp and even better: http://www.surf-lifesavers.com/index.php?id=biologic :) Regards,

Posted - 13 April 2005 : 15:16:13 I know Andy has done some, but his work sells almost immediately, so you'd need to contact him direct. I wasn't sure if he had any on his site, though I can see a lifesaver used as part of his name (think it's the B). Tell him that the query comes through Jillian in the USA. As I said, know him personally. Regards,

Posted - 13 April 2005 : 14:35:14 If you go to ebay (http://www.ebay.com) and go to the art category. Enter the keyword 'lifeguard' you will get some good results. Remember, what comes up one day will be different a week from now.

Posted - 13 April 2005 : 14:22:28 An artist friend of mine in Australia has done some. Albeit Australian lifesavers (lifeguards). He is well known, or becoming that way, in Australia, also world-wide. His website is http://www.AndrewBaines.com - but I'm not sure if he has any on his site. Regards,
